RockIt!

Herbie Hancock had an instrumental track in the 80’s called RockIt.  When looking for music for Caden’s first Video, “Don’t Stop Me Now,” I decided it would be a good soundtrack to use for his next video.  I didn’t expect it to be so long before I got to the video, but it has been a busy summer. To make up for it, I used almost the entire soundtrack so you can get lots of Caden!

Enjoy!

Caden? Almost a Year? Surely not?

Yes, we are alive and well… it has been a little while, ok, a LONG while, try Feb. 15, since our last update.

We have been TOO busy, all of us, but we are all good. Caden has two new cousins (both of Jennifer’s sisters successfully had little girls in the last two months).

Caden is crawling everywhere, not slowing down AT ALL and threating to start walking, and rightly so, he will be a year or 12 months or 365 (really 366) days, should I stop? maybe one more 8,784 hours old, next Friday!

So I don’t have what you want… new photos on-line, I know that is the real reason you read these e-mails, BUT I keep reading…

The delay in the photos aren’t because we aren’t taking them, we are, I assure you, but we just aren’t uploading them, ok, Neal isn’t, he just hasn’t made the time. 🙂

There is a video (see, aren’t you glad you kept reading?) Wanna see it? Then go to http://www.nealbreeding.com/vids/

Enjoy!

The Breedings

Where is February?

Where did February go? It was a short month, although it was longer than usual and it still disappeared before we knew it! And now it is almost Easter?

It could be the trips. We went to Batesville, AR at the start of the month, for a quick trip, then I was in Kansas City for 3.5 days (yes I ate some good BBQ) and then to Dallas the last day of the month for Angie’s Baby shower.

While in KC, I did get to eat at Arthur Bryants (the original) location. I even got to eat with my old college roommate Keith, who doesn’t live in KC, but was there working that week. Pretty crazy how it all worked out. We ate at Jack Stack BBQ (the #1 rated BBQ in KS). It was also very good. The rest of the time in KC was spent in class, learning a new web site back-end system for my ” job.” I won’t going into the details, yes you can thank me later.
Jennifer is doing well. She is staying really busy with work and averages seeing 12 babies a week. She also is having to contend more and more with her two children, as Caden and I have already started plotting against her! 😉

Ok, what you really want to hear about, Caden. He is 9 months and while not crawling on all 4’s except for a short distance, he has no problem with the belly crawl and has learned to pull himself up all the way to his feet.

He also has now been to Texas (notice I left “The Great State of…” out) so that is one more state he can add to his list.

Caden loves to giggle and make faces, and makes us laugh a whole lot. He has discovered Emma (our dog) and watches her when she walks by and tries to pet her.

What you really want are the pictures, so here they are, some even with captions! http://www.nealbreeding.com/photos/134/index.php

Neal and the Family

Christmas has Come and Gone!

Christmas has come and gone, and we went here and there. First to Hot Springs Village, AR to see Jennifer’s family. While visiting Jennifer’s family, we got to introduce Caden to one of his great grandmothers, who will be 90 later this year! Then to Owensboro, KY, (on the way, driving through Missouri for 26.2 miles, then on through TN, until we reached KY) to see my grandmother who is going to be 93 this Sunday!

Next to Nashville, to see my family, then home through Alabama and Mississippi. An estimated 1414 miles and traveling through 6 states (counting LA). Throughout the whole trip he was a trooper and traveled well. Never fussy for more than 30 minutes on any one day!

Baby Jesus

By that title you may have guessed it!?? Yep! Caden starred in his first drama production as baby Jesus. Ok, so it was a really small role. Carried in during one song, to the front, entertained by lots of people for the rest of that song and the next one, and then out he went.

The funny part… you know there always is one with “us!” We got to church that night at 5:30 p.m. and were asked then if he could be “borrowed.” The couple that was playing Mary and Joseph had kept him in extended session (during “big” church that morning) and are friends of ours, so we had no problem letting him play the part.

But since this was last minute, we hadn’t fed him, and he was expecting a bottle about the time he was going to play his part. He doesn’t take pacifiers so if he was ready for the bottle, he was going to be ready for it, and would let us all know.

As you would expect from a professional, though, he put his hunger aside, played the role perfectly and even fell asleep during the second song (which was NOT a lullaby, what does that say about your singing Joe Brown, you put him right to sleep!?)

Luckily I as able to take a few picture with “Mary’s” camera, so there are a few here: http://nealbreeding.com/photos/131/
