Caden has a birthday coming up soon, June 6, to be exact. Yes, it has flown by, just as everyone said it would.
While looking for different birthday cake pans, I ran across this Mega-Cupcake pan that I thought was lots of fun. I think it would be a creative birthday cake, but it isn’t the one we decided to use (at least this year) and yes you will have to wait for a future blog to see the pan we decided to use for his first birthday).
A fun idea I would like to try with this pan, however, would be to place plastic wrap in one side of it (I would probably use the top), fill it with ice cream (soften), then refreeze. Once it has harden, pull it out of the wrap (dip the bottom of the pan in warm water if it doesn’t want to release) and wrap it back up good with the plastic wrap and put the ice cream back in the freezer. Next, make cake in the other 1/2 of the pan. After it is done and cooled, well you should get the picture by now, put it together and you have an ice cream cupcake
